    The system features a weatherproof enclosure housing the data logger and power supply, and comes complete with a solar panel, tripod stand, and one each of Leaf Wetness, Air Temperature, and Humidity sensors. For precise disease prediction, the leaf wetness sensor—designed to replicate the surface characteristics of a natural leaf—uses electrical resistance to measure moisture caused by rainfall, dew, or spray. This sensor allows the data logger to detect the presence of surface moisture on foliage and accurately calculate the total wetness duration. When moisture is present, the electrical resistance between the gold-plated grid elements changes, and this variation is recorded by the data logger as a value ranging from 0% to 100% leaf moisture. This reliable measurement capability helps ensure accurate monitoring essential for agricultural and environmental applications.
